KATUBA MP PATRICIA MWASHINGWELE DIES …as number of female MPs dwindles
Katube UPND Member of Parliament Patricia Mwashingwele has died.
UPND Secretary General, Stephen Katuka has confirmed.
The death of Hon. Mwashingwele further reduces the number of women in the House.
Women in Parliament a only account for a paltry about 18.9 %. The Women’s movement and NGOCC mourns the loss of this gallant woman.

This is to inform the UPND family and the nation that a black cloud has befallen our party and we have lost our Deputy Spokesperson and Katuba Member of Parliament Ms Patricia Mwashingwele.
Ms Mwashingwele early this morning after an illness in UTH, about two weeks after burying her husband .
The Party and the nation will greatly miss our gallant woman .
May we remember the bereaved members of the family in our prayers.
Funeral arrangements and burial will be announced in due course.
