The Non-governmental Gender Organisations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) says Namibian Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah is a role model and an inspiration not only to the young women in Namibia, but the continent as a whole.
In a letter dated 12th February 2024, Non-governmental Gender Organisations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) Chairperson Grace Manyonga-Sinkamba stated that the women’s movement in Zambia had no doubt that she would continue to provide the unique transformational leadership that would propel Namibia to higher heights.
“We write to congratulate you on your well-deserved appointment and subsequent swearing in as Vice President of the Republic of Namibia. As the women of Zambia and indeed the continent, we have no doubt that you will provide the necessary leadership to the people of Namibia,” Ms. Manyonga-Sinkamba stated.
“NGOCC recognizes your contribution to the global advocacy towards gender equality in your capacity as Minister of Women Affairs and Child Welfare. We specifically recall your passion for women’s empowerment and equality as exhibited when you represented your country at the Commission on the Status of women in 2005. Madam Vice President, you are a role model and an inspiration not only to the young women in Namibia, but the continent as a whole.”
