The primary objective of the Unit is to coordinate and facilitate research surveys, policy analysis and information communication technology function for more effective evidence-based advocacy and service delivery to MOs and other stakeholders.

This is to ensure a more robust and efficient way of mobilising member organisations and providing technical support on topical issues for advocacy and results reporting from an evidenced based perspective. MERU also focuses on organizational and programme monitoring and evaluation of interventions.
