Zambia, elected as the Vice President of the African Forum for Women’s Empowerment through NGOCC

The Non-Governmental Gender Organisations’ Coordinating Council (NGOCC) is delighted to announce that Zambia, through NGOCC, has been elected as the Vice President of the African Forum for Women’s Empowerment.
This milestone was achieved during the continental forum held in Salé, Morocco, from 14th to 15th October 2025, under the theme:
“The Empowerment of African Women: A Pillar of Social Justice and Sustainable Transformation.”
This recognition is not only an honour for Zambia but also a testament to NGOCC’s continued leadership and commitment to advancing gender equality, women’s empowerment, and social justice across Africa.
As Vice President, NGOCC will work collaboratively with sister organizations across the continent to amplify women’s voices, promote inclusive development, and strengthen the role of women as key agents of social and economic transformation.
We extend our gratitude to all members and partners for their unwavering support and dedication to the cause of women’s empowerment. Together, we will continue to champion a just and equitable Africa for all.
